I run the 100, 200 and sometimes the 4x1.

What are your dreams in life?
I hope to make it to the Olympics and if that doesn't work I'm also a basketball player.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Sports and education are very important to me. If there was no sports or school, I don't think I would be complete as a person.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
I work hard everyday in each sport I like to play. People try to down me with there negative comments but I just ignore them and work even harder to prove them wrong. I may not be the best or one of the best right now but as long as I keep pushing I will be someday.

How do you make your team better?
My team needs my support and my always happy personality. I need them to push me and help me push myself.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
Keep pushing, stay strong, and stay focused. Don't let others get you down because you aren't better. Feed off that and work even harder to prove them wrong. I'm being doubted right now but I'm getting better because I work and work and work.

Hi I'm Austin Weiss and I am a 5'5 Freshman catcher for Mcintosh High School. I also play travel ball for Atlanta Baseball Academy and finished ranked number 2 nationally last year in our division. I have a pop time of 1.9 and finished my first high school season batting .379.

What are your dreams in life?
I would love to play D-1 baseball for the University of Alabama. I have dreams of playing in the Major Leagues and playing for my hometown team, the Atlanta Braves.

What was your best game?
My best game was last Summer. I was 5-5 on throw downs to second base and went 4-5 with 2 doubles, a walk, and 4 RBI's. We ended up winning the game 13-1.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Sports have always been a very important part in my life. I have played baseball since I was 4 years old. Education is another vital sign of life. I try my hardest in school and try to excel in sports.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
I can push myself to the limit when it comes to becoming better. If that means hitting the weights, running that extra mile, or hitting that extra bucket of balls, then I will do it. I have that fire in my belly when it comes to baseball. I hate losing as I'm sure every athlete does.

How do you make your team better?
I can make my team better by helping someone out with their swing or throwing with them. I am always be there for my teammates on and off the field.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
Just work hard and let yourself become involved in the work. Most importantly have fun while working hard, it makes it alot less painful.

My dreams are to get a scholarship to a Division 1 school as an infielder and hopefully play well and maybe attract the attention of a professional scout, but for now, I am focusing on getting to a D1 school.

What was your best game?
My best game ever was actually a doubleheader against a team ranked in the top 3 in state in which I went 6 for 6 and had 3 putouts at third base. I also came in to start the second game and picked up a win, the second of the day against a very strong team.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Sports and education both work together to make me a better person. They help keep me disciplined and working hard which are two important skills.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
To make myself better, I think I need to lift and train harder in the off season than I have before. The only way to get better is to outwork your opponent and keeping that in mind will make me a better player.

How do you make your team better?
To make my team better, I need to always be working hard and playing to the best of my ability. Setting an example will inspire one teammate to follow and that's contagious, hopefully getting others to work hard as well.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
My advice is to outwork everyone around you, let others push you to the limit. In the winter, I wrestle to stay in good shape and it demonstrated that as long as you're working as hard as you can, you can achieve your goals.

My dreams in life is to hopefully play on the highest level of basketball which is the NBA. But for right now I am concentrating on college basketball.

What was your best game?
In the State Championship nobody thought we would win the game besides us and our school. In the begining of the game ACD went on a 7 - 0 lead on us. But then we took the lead and had it for most of the game. The first half i only had 2 points but our team had the lead so i was still very happy. The second half is where i really came alive, in the whole second half i had 12 points finishing off with 14 points and tiedf orleading scorer. Durng the second half ACD rallied back and got a 1 point lead on us but we kept on playing our game and we endend up winning by 5. That was the best game and experience of my life.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Sports and education are important to me because that is pretty much life. Without sports I think I woudln't be as discipline as I am today. Also, education is the only way you can make it in this country and world.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
I sill have a lot of things I have to do to get better for basketball. I still have to lift wieghts, work on my shooting, and improve my all around game because I know I have to work hard everyday if I want to accomplish my goals.

How do you make your team better?
I try to do the little things to make my team beter instead of always scoring such as diving for loose balls or taking charges. Those little things can make a big difference in a game.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
My advice is to never give up on your dreams and always work hard whenever you step on the court or field because that can be the last time you ever get to play.
