Houston Defenders Select wins AAU Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida

SoSportz.com- Silky smooth, dominate, and confindent are just a few words that describe Aaron and Andrew Harrison. They are twin brothers that are two of the top prospects in the class of 2013.  The Harrison twins led the Houston Defenders to a championship over BABC from Massachusetts with a final score of 55-45.  BABC features shot blocking machine Nerlens Noel, another top prospect in the class of 2013 and Georges Niang, who will take his talents to Iowa State in 2012. Keep your eye on the class of 2013. You will see these guys playing big time college basketball and eventually the NBA.

Tell everyone about yourself?
I'm a 15 year old quarterback at Valley High School in Louisville, Kentucky and I'm 6'1 165lbs.

What are your dreams in life?
My dreams in life are to make it to the NFL and win a Super Bowl. If not, I want to be a football coach.

What was your best game?
I have not played my first varsity football game yet. I will be a sophomore and I will be starting this year.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Without an education you can't do anything in this world, and sports is something I like to do. I've been around them all my life.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
I can make my team better by being a leader and just doing the best and giving it my all.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
Just work hard and listen to coaches who know how to be successful

Maya Moore signs deal with the Jordan Brand

Maya Moore, first overall pick in April's WNBA Draft.

SoSportz.com- After a stellar career at the University of Connecticut, Maya Moore was the first overall selection in April's WNBA Draft to the Minnesota Lynx. She has now achieved something that most athletes only dream they could be a part of.  Moore has signed a deal with the Jordan Brand reportedly worth between $3 million and $4 million. She joins the family of Carmelo Anthony, Derek Jeter, CC Sabathia, and Jason Taylor to name a few. She has become the first woman to sign a deal with Jordan. At the young age of 21, Maya Moore has a bright future both on and off the court.

SoSportz Athlete JOSH BURKE- McClure Middle School

Tell everybody about yourself?
I am Josh Burke and I attend McClure Middle School. I am a 5'2 point guard and I work on my craft everyday and look forward to putting in work in many national camps this summer.

What professional athlete do you pattern your game after?
I model my game after Derrick Rose because of my quickness, passing, shooting, handles,and defense.

Who is the best player you have played against?
The best player I have played against is JJ Watson from the CB Spiders AAU Team. He's a dunking 5'9 point guard.

Who motivates you?
My dad motivates me by telling me things like I have to train like a champion in order to be a champion or the best.

What is your dream college?
University of Kentucky because Coach Cal is the best and I like their system.

What are your dreams in life?
My dreams are to go to the NBA and be a great person in life.
