TONY MORALES- SAM HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL(U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN)

Tell everyone about yourself?
I'm from Arlington, Texas and I attend Sam Houston High School. I'm pretty big.  I'm 6'4 300 pounds.  I like to play alot of video games and I'm real competitive when it comes to video games. I don't like to lose.  I spend most of my free time with my friends just hanging out. I also have a twin brother named Alfredo Morales.  He is my best friend and we like to compete against each other on and off the field.

What is your favorite sport?
My favorite sport has always been football.  I've been playing all my life.  What I like most about football is just being on the field with my friends and just working together to achieve our goals.

How did you feel when you were named to the U.S. Army All-American game?
Being named to the U.S. Army All-American team is a big deal for me.  I remember watching the game on T.V when I was younger and I look forward to representing my high school(Sam Houston) and my college(Texas Tech) in the U.S. Army All-American game.

What are your goals as a football player?
My goal as a football player is to be the most physical and most nasty football player on the field.   I want to dominate the person lined up across from me and to do anything possible to put my team in the position to win.

Who is your favorite player? Why?
My favorite football player is Jeff Saturday, offensive center for the Colts, because he is strong and physical and because he is one of the smartest football players around.

What drives you to work hard?
What drives me to work hard is the success that comes down the road.  If you work hard now it will pay off in the future.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Sports to me are very important.  You can learn alot of life lessons by competing in a sport.   Education is also very important to me because I know that football won't last forever and that later down the road I will have to have a job that requires me to be educated.

What advice can you give other student-athletes?
Keep working hard even when you don't feel like it.   Hard work on the practice field will pay off Friday on the game field.
