SoSportz.com- Fans on Beale Street should be partying because the Memphis Grizzlies are the best team in the NBA. They don't have all the super stars like the Miami Heat, OKC Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, or the Boston Celtics. They have a team that's very good at every position and play excellent together. The Grizzlies starting five consist of Mike Conley, Rudy Gay, Tony Allen, Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol. Guys who don't get a lot of recognition but are some of the top players and their position. These five guys are on a mission this season and feel they have the talent to make a run at the NBA Finals. The motto they use is "Why Not Us". Fans and players around the league will soon take notice and realize the Grizzlies are the real deal. Standing at 7-1, they have beaten the best teams in the league this week alone in convincing fashion. Starting with the Heat(104-86), Thunder(107-97), and the Knicks(105-95 ). Keep your eyes on Memphis the rest of the season, you will become a believer.

Portland Trail Blazers Damian Lillard is off to a hot start
Athletes who come from smaller schools sometimes do not get the respect they deserve due to the talent level that they are playing against on a weekly basis. It's time to respect Lillard. He's the real deal and will take the Trail Blazers to another level. Through the first three games of the season, he's averaging 21.3 points per game, 9 assist per game, and 4 rebounds per game. He's the third player in NBA history to post per-game averages of at least 20 points and 9 or more assists through his first three games in the league. The other two were Oscar Robertson and John Wall. Lillard is my pick for the Rookie of the Year(most will have Anthony Davis). Stay tuned, this is just the beginning.-SoSportz
