Adrian Peterson signs biggest deal ever for a running back

SoSportz.com- The biggest deal ever given to a running back was awarded to Adrian Peterson today. The terms were a seven-year $100 million contract with $36 million guaranteed. The deal was $6 million more than Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. With his running style and the decline of play of running backs once they reach the age of 30, it will be tough for Peterson to play out his contract for he will be 33 years old by the end of his deal. He has definitely earned it and will consistently be one of the top backs in the NFL for years to come.

Redemption: Michael Vick signs five years $80 million deal

SoSportz.com- Mike Vick has rebounded once again. His play on the field last season for the Philadelphia Eagles earned him a big pay day by cashing in on a 5 years $80 million deal with $35.5 million guaranteed. Vick has cleaned his act up off the field and is ready to lead his team to a Super Bowl. They have the right pieces on paper but will that translate to wins on the field.

Here is what his contract looks like:
Under the five-year deal:
$20 million in 2011
$12.5 million in 2012
$15.5 million in 2013
$15.5 million in 2014
$16.5 million in 2015.

Houston Defenders Select wins AAU Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida

SoSportz.com- Silky smooth, dominate, and confindent are just a few words that describe Aaron and Andrew Harrison. They are twin brothers that are two of the top prospects in the class of 2013. The Harrison twins led the Houston Defenders to a championship over BABC from Massachusetts with a final score of 55-45. BABC features shot blocking machine Nerlens Noel, another top prospect in the class of 2013 and Georges Niang, who will take his talents to Iowa State in 2012. Keep your eye on the class of 2013. You will see these guys playing big time college basketball and eventually the NBA.

I have not played my first varsity football game yet. I will be a sophomore and I will be starting this year.

Why are sports/education important to you?
Without an education you can't do anything in this world, and sports is something I like to do. I've been around them all my life.

What can you do to make yourself better in your sport?
I can make my team better by being a leader and just doing the best and giving it my all.

Just work hard and listen to coaches who know how to be successful
