SoSportz.com- Former New York Knicks center and Orlando Magic assistant coach, Patrick Ewing, has decided to relaunch his shoe company, Ewing Athletics. The company was very successful back in his playing days, in the early 1990's, but had to shutdown due to the rise of Nike.  He now has time to focus on his company since he and the entire Magic coaching staff were fired at the end of the 2011-2012 season.  The shoes will retail for $100.

Maya Moore signs deal with the Jordan Brand

Maya Moore, first overall pick in April's WNBA Draft.

SoSportz.com- After a stellar career at the University of Connecticut, Maya Moore was the first overall selection in April's WNBA Draft to the Minnesota Lynx. She has now achieved something that most athletes only dream they could be a part of.  Moore has signed a deal with the Jordan Brand reportedly worth between $3 million and $4 million. She joins the family of Carmelo Anthony, Derek Jeter, CC Sabathia, and Jason Taylor to name a few. She has become the first woman to sign a deal with Jordan. At the young age of 21, Maya Moore has a bright future both on and off the court.
